Ingredients
- 3 Medjool dates, pitted
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
- 1.5 teaspoons spirulina powder
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 250 ml oat milk, cold
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 5 ice cubes
Method
- Soak dates in warm water for 3 minutes if they're dry; drain.
- Blend everything except ice on high for 60 seconds.
- Add ice; blend another 20 seconds.
- Pour immediately — this settles fast.
Why this pairing works
Hemp seeds provide all essential amino acids, making this a complete protein alongside spirulina's amino acid profile. The cacao bitterness merges with spirulina so cleanly that neither is discernible individually. At 3 g spirulina, this is a meaningful clinical dose.
